The part with clients - and what keeps the lights on.

Hekswerk's research is funded and published, not sold. The practice is the part with clients, and it's how the research is sustained. Three streams, listed in order of how much they actually carry the work right now - not how loud they are.

The engine, running now

Freelance AI evaluation

The financial anchor, and the live root of everything else. Since 2024 I've done human-in-the-loop AI-evaluation work for US-based AI quality-assurance platforms - judging model output for honesty, safety, and subtle failure, and debugging AI-generated code. It is steady, detailed judgment work, it is the skill the research is built on, and it is what pays for the research. It's the engine, not a service I'm selling you here.

Not sure which fits?

Tell me what you're trying to do in plain language. I read it myself and reply directly, and I'll say honestly if it isn't something I'm the right person for.
